Audiences at the event and those watching at home were told that the stand-alone follow up to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End would be released sometime in 2017. Today, Sony announced that the game will be released on August 22 in North America and August 23 in Europe for $40.For those not in the loop, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will not feature the series protagonist, Nathan Drake. Instead, the ever-popular Chloe Frazer will get the spotlight as she searches for treasure in India. She won’t be alone during this adventure, as she’ll be joined by Uncharted 4‘s Nadine Ross.Along with this announcement, we’re also treated to a brand-new trailer. Like the previous video, this one is another cinematic from the game. We see Chloe and Nadine talking about the treasure they’re after. You can see the new trailer just below. Those who pre-order The Lost Legacy will get the upcoming Jak and Daxter PS2 Classic games for free. The collection includes the first three games, along with Jak X: Combat Racing. As PS2 Classics, these games will feature 1080p resolution and have trophy support. The games will be sold separately. Considering how PS2 Classics typically cost $10-15 each, getting this collection for free by pre-ordering The Lost Legacy is one hell of a deal.Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be available both digitally and physically. One doesn’t need to own Uncharted 4 in order to play it. Sony says the game will be over 10 hours long for a single playthrough. Some (like myself) will no doubt rack up more time when trying to go for the coveted platinum trophy. Still, even if you only play the game once, you will no doubt get your money’s worth for $40.
