Punjab Board Class 10 Results 2017: Almost 1 lakh students failed in Mathematics
The Punjab Board class 10 results have been declared on the official website.This year, Shruti Vohra, a student of Ropar’s DAV Public Senior Secondary School topped the exam by scoring 642 marks i.e. 98.77 per cent.Further, the board has also released subject wise pass percentage, toppers and result statistics on the official website.(Check: Punjab Board PSEB Class 10 Results 2017: Declared at pseb.ac.in ) As per the statistics released, this year also, students of Punjab did not score well in English and Mathematics.Results analysis:As many as 1,63,536 in total appeared in both Mathematics and English.Mathematics (failed): 93,100 studentsEnglish (failed): 70,436 studnets(Read: Meet Punjab PSEB Class 10 topper Shruti Vohra: Check top three rank holders here ) Other toppers:Second position: Amit Yadav, who scored 98.62 per cent i.e. 641 marks, bagged the second position.Third position: Simmi Kumari of Sai Public Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana scored 98.31 per cent.Sports category:This year, the class 10 boards were held from March 14 to March 29 at various test centres across the state. Last year, the pass percentage was at 72.25 per cent with girls performing better than boys who secured a pass percentage of 78.03.About PSEB:Established in the year 1969, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) was established through a legislative enactment of the state assembly.
