SEGAL Presents New Uniform to Officers in Yekapa

first_imgThe Security Expert Guard Agency of Liberia (SEGAL) on January 13, presented a new set of uniforms to her service men and women in the mining town of Yekapa.The new outfits, which are estimated at US$ 80,000 include a set of uniform with vest, well protective booths, helmets, batons and other items.According to Mr. Frederick A. Duwor, an official of SEGAL, the presentation of their new sets of uniforms, was part of the commitment made to their officers and the management of ArcelorMittal in keeping the safety policy of the company intact.He added that the protective helmets will only be used by security officers, who will be assigned up the mine not for those who will take assignment at other posts.SEGAL has about 800 personnel in Yekapa alone. Those personnel are manning assets belonging to ArcelorMittal.About 30 of their officers are women and it is one the leading employers in Nimba County.The lead investigator of ArcelorMittal Security in Yekapa, Francis Bangura, has hailed SEGAL for making Yekapa safer for the past one year.Bangura said crime reduced drastically to zero in Yekapa because of SEGAL officers, who are committed to their duties.“Crime rates reduced to zero in Yekapa because of your commitment to duty,” he said.In regard to the new uniform, he said, “SEGAL had gone extra mile in their commitment to this company and I want to urge you officers not to use these uniform recklessly.”Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)last_img
