Cooperation between CNTB and Lonely Planet: Promotion of Croatia on Lonely Planet media platforms

first_imgLonely Planet included Istria in the prestigious list of “Best in Europe” Top 10 destinations in Europe in 2019.  According to the CNTB, all materials will be used for advertising, which will be carried out in two parts. The first wave of advertising will last from May to the end of June and includes the promotion of Slavonia and Zadar. The second wave of advertising covers the period from September to the end of October and includes the promotion of Zagorje, Međimurje and Istria, promotion on social networks, display advertising activities, etc. The markets involved in the campaigns are Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Italy and Austria.  “That Croatia is today deservedly in the center of attention of world travel lovers is confirmed by our creative team of screenwriters, cameramen and designers who stayed in Croatia. The Croatian National Tourist Board and Lonely Planet have launched a personalized page dedicated to Croatia within the Lonely Planet portal “Discover Croatia” with four videos about Croatian destinations and various tourist information about Croatia. They are shown through four videos Slavonia as an undiscovered secret with an emphasis on the rich eno-gastronomic offer and cultural-historical heritage, Zadar and surroundings as destinations suitable for numerous excursions and activities such as hiking in NP Paklenica or sailing in NP Kornati, Zagorje and Međimurje with an emphasis on castles, and a video of Fr. Wife where all the details related to the tradition of truffle hunting and the preparation of products from this gastronomic delicacy were recorded. Certainly a great move by the CNTB, and the cooperation with Lonely Planet, the world’s leading specialized travel medium followed by 13 million people on a monthly basis, will certainly contribute to even better visibility of our tourist offer.  For the seventh year in a row, Lonely Planet is compiling a reference list of Best in Europe, which contains ten priority destinations in Europe that should be on the radar of world travelers right now.
