first_img Comments Syracuse (10-4, 5-1 Big East) picked up a pair of wins against two conference foes last weekend, defeating West Virginia 6-1 on Saturday and Pittsburgh 7-0 on Sunday. No. 39 SU has now won eight of its last nine matches.Emily Harman and Amanda Rodgers dominated their respective singles matches against the Mountaineers. Alessondra Parra, Maddie Kobelt and Komal Safdar also picked up victories for the Orange in singles.Due to an injury, the Mountaineers were unable to field a tandem for No. 3 doubles, handing SU the doubles point and the victory.Syracuse started quickly out of the gates Sunday, sweeping the Panthers in doubles to capture the early 1-0 advantage. The senior duo of Harman and Parra took care of business in No. 1 doubles, winning 8-5. Kobelt and Rodgers earned a 9-7 win, while Safdar and Anika Novacek cruised to an 8-3 victory.Rodgers extended her singles winning streak to 12 games with a 6-4, 7-5 decision against Taylor Washington.
