After World T20 controversy, Mithali and Harmanpreet meet BCCI CEO Rahul Johri

first_imgIndia’s women’s Twenty20 team captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Mithali Raj on Monday met BCCI CEO Rahul Johri and GM (Cricket Operations) Saba Karim following the World T20 controversy in the Caribbean.Mithali, the most experienced player in the women’s team, was not selected for the World T20 semi-final against England as the team management decided to field the same team which won against the Aussies.Mithali had suffered a knee injury against Ireland and was rested for India’s final group game versus Australia last week.She was expected to make a comeback for the last-four clash but was eventually left out of the playing XI in the knockout game.Also read: Will Mithali Raj retire from T20Is after World T20 fiasco in West Indies?Mithali’s absence hurt India big time as the batters meekly surrendered against the England bowling attack were bowled out for a paltry 112 in 19.3 overs. All of them met us separately and put across their viewpoints. We have noted everything down,” Johri told PTI.
